The office of the 46th President of the United States has officially announced that former President Joe Biden’s prostate cancer is highly aggressive.
Biden was said to have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterised by a Gleason score of 9.
This was confirmed in a statement issued by Biden’s office on Sunday.
According to the statement, Biden’s prostate cancer has already spread to his bones.
“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms.
“On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterised by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the statement read.
The statement added, “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.”
It was gathered that following Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis, doctors are currently reviewing treatment options.
This comes amid concerns about Biden’s age and health and the fact that the President and his handlers hid the state of his declining health away from the American public prior the U.S. election, according to a new book titled: ‘Original Sin’, co-authored by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson.
Recall that in the build up to the 2024 presidential election in the U.S., Biden’s health was a major topic.
Concerns about his health further intensified after a poor performance during his June 2024 presidential debate against Trump, leading a number of commentators and many Democratic lawmakers to call for Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential race.
After initially stating that he would remain in the race, Biden ended his presidential candidacy on July 21, 2024; he later endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Harris, who contested the 2024 U.S. presidential election, would later lose to incumbent President Donald Trump.
