Several students across Nigeria have begun to joyfully celebrate their improved scores following the conclusion of the 2025 UTME redo examinations.
This comes after the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced the release of the 2025 UTME redo results.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Sunday by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin.
In the statement, the board confirmed that out of the 336,845 candidates who were rescheduled for the 2025 UTME redo examinations, a total of 21,082 candidates were absent.
Benjamin, in the statement also disclosed that it had identified cases of examination malpractice, leading to the withdrawal of results for over 3,000 candidates found to have engaged in fraudulent activities.
JAMB expressed concern over the involvement of undergraduate students from tertiary institutions in orchestrating these illicit schemes, further complicating efforts to maintain exam integrity.
Meanwhile, following the release of the results, a wave of excitement and relief has been ignited among Nigerian students, with many reporting significantly higher grades.

There were also widespread concerns over what many described as technical glitches.
Following the technical glitches that marred the initial exam, reactions have begun to emerge as students share stories of redemption.
Many candidates have described the 2025 UTME Redo as a lifeline after the initial exam’s technical issues, including missing questions, login failures, and power outages, led to widespread low scores.
For instance, @winexviv shared on X said: “This is the first JAMB resit result I woke up with. This youngster was wrongly graded 170 due to the error and now 301 in just 48 hours of preparation.”
