The ongoing saga between United States President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk, dubbed the Trump-Musk fallout, has continued to take different twists and turns.

Leaders of the Democratic Party, which is currently in opposition, has joined debates regarding the public feud, seizing Musk’s explosive claim that Trump is purportedly named in the unreleased Jeffrey Epstein files to call for a probe.

Ranking Member Robert Garcia and Acting Ranking Member Stephen Lynch said in a statement that they are alarmed by the allegations and are calling for clarification on whether they are true.

“Any attempts to prevent the appropriate release of the Epstein files to shield the president from truth and accountability merit intense scrutiny by Congress and by the Department of Justice,” their statement reads in part.

This comes after Musk claimed that Trump allegedly appeared in an unreleased government files linked to the late billionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Pan-Atlantic Kompass reports that while thousands of pages of Epstein-related records have been released, some remain sealed, fueling conspiracy theories about high-profile individuals, including politicians and celebrities, allegedly linked to Epstein’s crimes.

This allegation came after a public feud erupted on June 5, 2025, between Trump and Musk.

Recall that the Trump-Musk fallout escalated from policy disagreements to personal attacks.

Musk, who donated significant sums to Trump’s campaign and briefly served as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), clashed with the president over fiscal policy, particularly Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill.”

He criticized the bill as a “disgusting abomination” for increasing the national debt and cutting electric vehicle subsidies.

Following the escalation of the feud, Trump threatened to terminate federal contracts with Musk’s companies, including SpaceX and Tesla, prompting a 14% drop in Tesla’s stock value.
