Israel is currently under attack as Iran retaliates against Israeli attacks on its nuclear sites which also reportedly targeted and killed key officers of the Iranian military.
According to Israeli military “all of Israel is under fire” after Tehran launched retaliatory strikes on Friday.
Iran confirmed Friday evening local time that it had fired “hundreds of various ballistic missiles” towards Israel, in what it called the “beginning” of its “crushing response.”
“Moments ago, with the launch of hundreds of various ballistic missiles toward the occupied territories, the operation of decisive response to the savage attack of the Zionist regime has begun,” Iran’s official news agency, IRNA, reported.
The attack follows years of rising tension and recent days of heightened speculation between Iran and Israel over the former’s nuclear programme.
Despite close military ties, Israel was reported to have carried out the operation without the backing of its key ally, the United States.
However, President Donald Trump has told Iran to make a deal with the US over its Uranium enrichment project or risk more attacks.
“Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. No more death, no more destruction, JUST DO IT, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.” President Trump said on his official Truth Social account on Friday.
