The Los Angeles Police Department has officially identified the woman allegedly responsible following a shooting incident at global superstar Rihanna’s house.

The suspect has been identified as Ivanna Ortiz, a 35-year-old resident of Florida. Ortiz was taken into custody shortly after the incident and is currently being held on a $10.225 million bond.

She faces charges of attempted murder after allegedly discharging an assault rifle at Rihanna’s Los Angeles house while the family was inside.

The shooting occurred at approximately 1:21 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in the quiet Beverly Crest neighborhood. According to LAPD reports Ortiz reportedly parked a white Tesla across from the property’s front gate and fired between 7 and 10 rounds from an AR-15-style rifle.

At least one bullet successfully penetrated a wall of the mansion, while other rounds struck the front gate and an Airstream trailer parked in the driveway.

Using helicopter surveillance, law enforcement tracked the Tesla as it fled south toward Coldwater Canyon. Ortiz was apprehended about eight miles away at the Sherman Oaks Galleria shopping center.

Police followed the vehicle to a shopping center in Sherman Oaks, where the suspect was arrested 30 minutes after the 911 call was placed. LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias told the press that when police searched the woman’s vehicle, they found “an assault rifle and seven casings.”

While the singer was confirmed to be at home during the attack, authorities have confirmed that no injuries were reported. It remains unclear if A$AP Rocky or the couple’s three children—RZA, Riot Rose, and 5-month-old Rocki Irish—were in the direct line of fire, though sources indicate the entire family was on the property at the time.
