A disturbing video has surfaced on the internet on Saturday, showing armed terrorists parading over 100 hostages from remote communities in Kwara State.
The group, which has intensified its operations in the Kaiama and Ekiti Local Government Areas, in the video also accused the Nigerian government of using “propaganda” to mask the true scale of the insurgency.
The incident follows the devastating February 3rd attacks on the Woro and Nuku communities, where over 162 villagers were massacred for resisting forced indoctrination.
Local sources confirm that while the government has downplayed recent kidnapping figures, the number of those held in forest camps continues to climb into the hundreds.
In a video recorded during the forced parade, a spokesperson for the extremist group challenged recent press releases from the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and the Kwara State Government.
The terror group maintained that they have over 100 hostages from Kwara alone.
According to the terrorist in the video, the state government lied by claiming that only between 20 and 30 people were kidnapped.
The footage shows dozens of women and children standing in rows, many of them visibly distressed.
Their clothes appeared dirty and worn, while several of the children were seen without trousers, underscoring the harsh conditions under which they are being held.
While parading the victims, one of the terrorists openly accused the Kwara State government of deliberately misleading Nigerians and the international community over the scale of the abductions.
“The Kwara State government lied to Nigeria and to the whole world,” the terrorist alleged, insisting that the number of abducted persons was far higher than officially acknowledged.
The video has stirred renewed fears over the security situation in Kaiama Local Government Area, particularly in Kwara North and south Senatorial district that residents say remain vulnerable to attacks by armed groups operating across the state.
As of the time of filing this report, the Kwara State Government had not responded to the claims made in the video or clarified the exact number of persons abducted from Woro community.
On February 4, 2026, Pan-Atlantic Kompass reported that dozens of people have been brutally massacred following a coordinated and deadly attack by suspected Sahel-backed terrorists on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Among those killed in the bloody onslaught are two wives of the Emir of Woro, several of his children, the Chief Imam of Woro, a school principal, a headmistress, and students who had just returned home from school.
The Emir himself, Alhaji Saliu Bio Umar, is currently missing, sparking fears that he may have been abducted or killed by the attackers.
