Spain has thrown its doors open for international students caught in the web of the ongoing U.S. visa revocations.

The Spanish Ministry of Migration, in a press statement, announced that international students whose visas were revoked by the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump now have the chance to resume their education at Spanish universities of their choice.

According to the statement, the international students blocked by U.S. visa revocations will not need to go through any lengthy admission process during the visa process.

Also, the Spanish Ministry of Migration announced that in addition to resuming their studies, international students under the new scheme will also be granted the right to work part-time while enrolled in a university program.

This offer means international students will be permitted to work up to 30 hours per week, allowing them to build a professional network and enhance their resumes, all while living in one of Europe’s most vibrant and affordable countries.

How to Apply for Spain’s Student Visa Process;

i). Provide proof of interrupted studies in the United States

ii). Apply to a recognised Spanish university

iii). Secure health insurance and accommodation

iv). Submit a student visa application through a Spanish consulate or an online portal

v). Students will also be eligible to apply for part-time work permits (up to 30 hours per week), making it easier to support themselves financially while pursuing a degree.

Pan-Atlantic Kompass reports that this comes as the Trump administration has ramped up its immigration enforcement, targeting not only undocumented immigrants but also those with legal status, including student visa holders and green card recipients.

The Trump administration has made several high-profile arrests, detentions, and visa revocations since January 2025. The intensified immigration enforcement affected individuals perceived as opposing U.S. policies or participating in campus activism.
