United States President Donald Trump has threatened to sue the 2026 Grammy Award host, Trevor Noah, after making a Jeffrey Epstein joke on stage.

Trump, who took to his social media page immediately after the conclusion of the award event, lambasted Noah for making an unverified claim.

“The Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable! CBS is lucky not to have this garbage litter their airwaves any longer,” the president wrote on Truth Social, referring to the Grammys’ last year on CBS. After throwing shade toward the event, he pivoted to Noah.

“The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards,” he continued. “Noah said, INCORRECTLY, about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media.”

Trump was referring to the Epstein joke the comedian made after the Song of the Year Grammy was dished out.

“There you have it, song of the year! Congratulations, Billie Eilish. Wow. That’s a Grammy that every artist wants, almost as much as Trump wants Greenland,” Noah said during the telecast. “Which makes sense because, since Epstein’s gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton. I told you, it’s my last year! What are you going to do about it?”

After the telecast, in his Truth Social post, he threatened to send “my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C.”

Trump wrote, “Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast. It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$. Ask Little George Slopadopolus and others how that all worked out. Also, ask CBS! Get ready, Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you! President DJT.”

Pan-Atlantic Kompass also reports that several celebrities used the award event to speak against Trump’s immigration crackdown.

Bad Bunny, who became the first Latin artist to win album of the year in the 68-year history of the Grammy Awards, railed against the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown.

“Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say ICE out,” he said, referencing weeks of tension in Minneapolis, including the deaths of two civilians.

“We’re not savages, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens, we are humans, and we are Americans.”

Also, a British singer, Olivia Dean, who was named best new artist, also used her speech to defend immigrants.

“I’m up here as the granddaughter of an immigrant,” said the singer, whose grandmother Carmen was part of the Windrush generation.

“I’m a product of bravery, and I think those people deserve to be celebrated. We’re nothing without each other.”

Stars including Kehlani, Gloria Estefan, and Billie Eilish also spoke in support of immigrants, while many musicians wore badges reading “ICE out” on the red carpet.
