Trump Demands Impeachment of Judge Who Blocked Deportation Orders

United States President Donald Trump again ignited a firestorm of controversy on Tuesday after he appeared to have called for the impeachment of U.S. District Chief Judge James E. Boasberg over anti-deportation ruling.

This comes after Boasberg recently issued a ruling to block Trump’s administration from implementing its deportation orders.

On Saturday, Judge Boasberg issued a temporary restraining order halting the deportations and verbally directed the administration to turn around any planes already in flight.

The order came after Trump’s invocation of the Alien Enemies Act of 179, to deport hundreds of Venezuelan migrants suspected of ties to the Tren de Aragua gang.

However, despite the order, at least two flights carrying 261 deportees reportedly landed in El Salvador, prompting accusations that the Trump administration defied the court’s authority.

Reacting to the development, Trump, who took to his Truth Social platform, lashed out at Boasberg, branding him a “Radical Left Lunatic” and “troublemaker” appointed by former President Barack Obama.

“This Judge, like many of the Crooked Judges I am forced to appear before, should be IMPEACHED!!!” Trump wrote.

“HE DIDN’T WIN ANYTHING! I WON FOR MANY REASONS, IN AN OVERWHELMING MANDATE, BUT FIGHTING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION MAY HAVE BEEN THE NUMBER ONE REASON FOR THIS HISTORIC VICTORY,” Trump said in another post.
