Anthony Joshua knocked out Jake Paul in the sixth round of a highly anticipated heavyweight clash billed as “Judgment Day,” at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, United States.

Joshua, a former two-time unified heavyweight champion delivered a devastating performance, overcoming early frustration to secure a knockout victory that reaffirmed his elite status in boxing.

The fight, streamed live globally on Netflix, saw Joshua (now 29-4, 26 KOs) dominate the YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul (12-2, 7 KOs) with superior power and precision.

Paul, known for his entertaining style and controversial opponent selections, showed resilience by surviving into the later rounds but later succumbed to Joshua’s relentless pressure.

From the opening bell, Paul employed evasive tactics, moving laterally along the ropes to avoid direct engagements.

This strategy allowed him to last longer than many predicted, frustrating Joshua in the early rounds where clean connections were scarce.

But after a breakthrough in the fifth, with a pair of knockdowns, Joshua punished Paul on the ropes and jabbed to the body before launching a big right hand.

AJ reacted with a cutthroat celebration in the ring to end one of the most chaotic episodes in recent boxing history.

It was clear that the tide had turned when Anthony Joshua knocked out Jake Paul’s momentum entirely.

The end came at the 1:31 mark of Round 6. Joshua knocked out Jake Paul after he feinted a jab before launching a “bomb” of a right cross that sent the influencer crashing to the canvas for the final time.

With that win, Anthony Joshua takes his overall record to 29 wins and four defeats.

Anthony Joshua, speaking after the win, said: “First of all, love to the crowd, I appreciate everyone in this venue.

“It wasn’t the best performance. The end goal was to pin Jake Paul down and hurt him. That has been the request leading up to it, and that was on my mind. It took a bit longer than expected, but the right hand finally found the destination.

“Jake Paul has done really well tonight, I want to give him the props. He got up time and time again. It was difficult in there for him, but he kept trying to find a way. It takes a real man to do that. You have to give Jake credit for trying, but he came up against a real fighter tonight.

“We shook off the cobwebs, I can’t wait for 2026. If Tyson Fury is as serious as he says he is, and he wants to put down his Twitter fingers and put on some gloves, and come and fight one of the realest fighters out there, step into there with me next if you’re a really bad boy.”

Reacting to the loss, Jake Paul said: “I’m feeling good, that was fun, I love this sport. I gave it my all, it’s crazy. I had a blast, thank you to all the fans.

“Anthony Joshua is a great fighter, I got beat but that’s what this sport is about. I will come back and keep on winning.

“I’ve already won in every single way of life. My family, my beautiful fiancé, and his sport have helped me so much in my life.

“I think my jaw is broken, it’s definitely broken. That was good, I’ll come back and get a world championship belt at some point.”

On whether he was surprised to get through six rounds: “I’m not surprised, I just got tired. It was a lot to handle his weight. If I had better cardio I think I could have kept on fighting. I did my personal best.”

On whether he intends to continue boxing: “For sure. We will heal the broken jaw, come back, and fight people my weight. I’m going for the cruiserweight world title.”

Who does he want next? “I’m going to take a little break. I’ve been going hard for six years. I’ll take some time off. This is amazing.”
