Ojude Oba 2025: A Dazzling Celebration of Heritage in Style & Pictures

The Ojude Oba 2025 held in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, on Sunday, June 8, 2025, has captured the attention of millions globally as participants showcased the Yoruba culture.

Held on the third day after Eid al-Kabir, this century-old celebration is held to honor the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, with colorful parades, regal horsemanship, and intricate traditional attire.

The Ojude Oba 2025 is a cultural cornerstone blended heritage with modern flair, drawing dignitaries, tourists, and Ijebu natives from across the world.

The event also featured spectacular horse riding by different groups of people, cultural dance, and musical performances by different artists.

The horse riders, who represent different Balogun families, are stylishly dressed.

The families include Balogun Adenuga, Balogun Alatise, Balogun Adesoye, Balogun Alausa, and Balogun Kuku.

It also featured ‘Regbe Regbe,’ a colourful parade by age groups from different families — a showcase of the Ijebu heritage and homage to the Ajuwale with dance, prayer, and gifts.
